Plant
Alexis refinery limited is currently developing a state-of-the-art modular refinery in Delta state. Following initial engagements, we have obtained License to Establish (LTE) and Approval to Construct (ATC) from the Department of petroleum resources, and have completed our preliminary engineering studies, alongside other milestone achievements for the projects. This plant will be strategically located in close proximity to crude supply in order to ensure continuous and reliable supply of feedstock, thus ensuring steady supply of refined petroleum products to the Nigerian market.
The project is a 10,000 BPD plant which will be implemented in phases. The first phase currently under development will process 2,500 BPD of locally available crude to produce AGO, Naphtha and Fuel Oil, with Fuel gas output. This phase is scheduled to be completed and commissioned by the second quater of 2022.
Upon commissioning, this modular refinery will help mitigate the supply gap for petroleum products while aiding government efforts to reposition Nigeria from an import dependent country to an exporting one. This will also create employment and generate internal revenue for Nigeria, promoting her GDP growth. The project being executed in partnership with various national and international experts will implement world-class technologies while adhering strictly to applicable standards and best practices.
Being a people-oriented entity, we understand the environmental dynamics and climate impacts the world is witnessing. That is why the project is being executed with utmost concern to the wellbeing of the workers and members of the host community. In collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Environment, we have successfully conducted an environmental impact assessment on our proposed site and have developed a number of innovative strategies to mitigate all identified challenges.
With NCDMB as one of our partners, Alexis is resolved to maximize the utilization of local content in this project. In line with our Nigerian content plan, Nigerian personnel and services will be prioritized both during the project, as well as in operations and maintenance.
